Viking fishing/settler - community on Dutch North Sea coastal Island in A.D. 2 prepare to face a new season with ever growing Roman encroachments. How are they to deal with these? And what is the longer term prospects for their small settlement? Book 1 of Nine book series covering a Viking Dynasty and interwoven families over several millennia. The first three epics cover the era from B. C. 10 or so to just before the infamous 'Viking Ascendancy' of A.D. 650 to A.D.1200- a period avoided in these tales as already well covered. Then after that three books of the Families over 1300 to 1700 and on into the last three of the nine covering the pre and current contemporary periods up to our times. There may be a deeper 'prequel' coverage as well of Vikings in the Baltic and in the Mediterranean periods before the rise of Rome. This last part would bring the total of all in the series to twelve books. Around 150-350 pages each.
