My mother had always taught me to follow my dreams, to chase them with every ounce of energy inside me. But maybe I had always been chasing her dreams, in hopes she could finally accomplish them. Whatever the case may be I wasn't prepared for him. I think my dreams backtracked and became less of a goal and more of a person. Life is panning out exactly how I expected it to. I made it to high school. I'm a teenager. I don't have any of the partying and spring break memories I'd hoped for, but it's not bad. I've even sort of assembled a plan for what I want to do after school. And then out of nowhere this boy comes into my life, and it's like gravity shifted my entire world upside down. Everything used to be so clear; I had no trouble picturing the future in my head. But now all of a sudden it's like everything is out of focus except for him.
