Izzy Hope Valentine wants nothing more then to be a writer, and to do that she must have her start on her school paper; but when conflict arises due to her inability to write what's she's told, she loses her position and therefore her ladder to her dream.

In order to get back her spot, hopefully as well as more creative liberty with it, Izzy must prove her theory, the one she can't yet write about, that soulmates are a real thing.
What she doesn't see coming, is a connection to someone she has no interest in, a girl who claims to be a fairy, and falling in love when that wasn't what she asked for.

The Girls with the Flame Tattoos by artsykid04
15 parts Complete Mature
In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. One day though, they feel their tattoos start to tingle. ____________________________________ *Will they be happy with who their soulmate turns out to be? *Will they recognize each other? *Will they be happy? *Will they break apart? -Read to find out. :) ____________________________________ This book is rated mature because there is a lot of talk of depression and self harm.
