The world was never black and white for Ethel Ochres. Her eccentric psyche always distinguished everything in grey, neither good nor bad. As a diligent student of psychology, she was enthralled with the human minds and the malicious trickery that they could play. One mind, in particular, struck her out of all the others, it was of Viridian Goldenrod.

As caliginous and arcane as the shade he was named after, Viridian was always discerned by the world, either in black or white. While some thought his soul was innocuous, incapable of doing any wrong, let alone be the reason for his numerous breakups, others reckoned him to be vitriolic. But Ethel beheld the grey in him.

One deceitful relationship, filled with sheer manipulations and lies was never meant to end well, was it?
