Imagine the second you turn 12, a quarantined convoy rushes you to a hospital.  A mysterious virus is sweeping the country. Those who are survive are labeled Malfetos and social outcasts. Age 12 is the most vulnerable to the Amio virus. Callum Reyes, a Malfeto in a new world, must struggle with the social aspect of surviving Amio. He will also learn of a chilling government secret about the Amio after being drafted into the army.
