Snow fell softly from the night sky, quiet and gentle, as if the world itself were holding its breath. The hill where the twins lay was blanketed in white, their small footprints already fading beneath the steady snowfall. Their parents had gone out that evening to perform at the theatre, leaving the twins in the quiet care of the night. It wasn't unusual-Riku and Tenn often found themselves alone when their parents were away. The theatre was theirs, a small family dream built with endless hours of sweat and song. At only 5 years old, Riku was too young to understand why their parents worked so hard, too innocent to see the shadows od exhaustion on their faces when they returned home. Riku, at 5 years old, never questioned it. To him, his parents always smiling, always strong and the theatre was nothing more than a place where the mother and father could sing and dance. He didn't notice the careful way they hid their sighs, or how their smile stretched just a little too long. Protected from worry, Riku's world remained simple and bright.
