Asato Tatsuya, born into one of the most famous and top-ranked clans of jujutsu sorcerers after the three top-ranked clans, was born with a dark cursed technique that he wasn't properly able to control and ended up accidentally murdering his older brother at the age of seven. The Asato clan covered up the incident by telling everyone that his older brother was murdered by a cursed spirit. Since then, he was looked down upon and shunned by his own family. His parents, unable to look him in the eye since the incident, try to get him to atone for his sins by enrolling him into Tokyo Jujutsu High where he learns how to control his dark cursed technique whilst also battling his own feelings of despair.
