A My Little Pony version of Rapunzel.
Beautiful, free-spirited, princess Rainbow Dash has been locked away in a tower since she was captured as a baby by an old hag. Her magical long rainbow hair has the power to provide eternal youth, among other things, and the evil Evelyn uses this power to keep her young. Applejack Apple is Rainbow's only human friend, ever since she stumbled across Rainbow's tower when she was 8 years old. When Rainbow's sixteenth birthday draws near, she finally works up the courage to ask Evelyn if she can leave the tower. Denied the freedom she craves, Rainbow turns to Applejack asking her to help her escape her "cage" and see the floating lanterns.
