When a tall, mysterious man orders Alana Velature to paint his portrait one dark evening, she has no choice but to obey-and he learns there is more to her than her peculiar innocence and artistic touch. 

Alana was born a simple village girl with nothing but a paintbrush to pay for her living. But when she learns there is nothing ordinary about her touch, she must protect herself against those looking for her otherworldly gift. 

The only problem is that she's already been caught, and the man at her doorstep will do anything to keep her golden touch for himself.
