The Quieter Ones

In 1979, Moriah, a popular student at Aurora North High School dies during the school year. Since then, the town of Aurora, New York has been shrouded in a dark atmosphere, owing to the dark secrets that lie underneath its surface.
Twenty-six years later, 17-year-old Kai Lee transfers to Aurora North immediately notices the whole class seems to be in a shrouded in a strange, gloomy atmosphere. He is attracted to Maliah, a mysterious girl who wears an eyepatch, but the rest of the class and the teachers regard her as though she doesn't exist. Kai ignores everyone's warnings, including Maliah's, and starts to get closer not only to her, but also to the reality behind the gruesome phenomena plaguing Aurora North.
The Quieter Ones follows Kai, Maliah, and their classmates as they become embroiled in the mystery surrounding a series of unavoidably tragic and violent occurrences, uncovering the horror of Aurora may cost them their lives.
