You would think being a death god would make for easy earnings. Well that is completely wrong. Thanatos does not find his job easy. Gathering souls was messy work. Whether its in a shipwreck or in a massacre, brought down by a god's wrath.
Well there is an upside. He can meet some interesting people. See interesting places.
One time he did meet someone very interesting one time while gathering souls after a shipwreck. One he did not think he would ever meet.

Humans know that they can't stay out in the middle of the night during days like the Summer solstice, creatures and evil gods can take them. That is why the lonely god of the Underworld, Hades, is surprised to see a boy picking flowers in the meadow while the moon is up in the sky.
