I wrote this short story in 8th grade for a Historical Narrative assignment. I ended up submitting this story into a kids writing competition along with my 20 other classmates and I was chosen along with 2 other classmates to read a portion of my writing to a huge audience and received a writing award. This is Fiction, but based off a historical event. My imagination went wild so most of what occurred in this story did not actually transpire. Almost all of the story was written by my 13 year old self except for minor corrections and small add ons. Hope you enjoy!
