The Bad Boy's Neighbor

"Here's your money Hudson. Honestly I didn't think you had it in you." Ryder tells me handing me the two-hundred he promised.

"What do you mean? Did you think I actually caught feelings?" I respond.

"Well kinda. You were really good at acting."

"Thanks, but you know she was just a simple fuck, a once or twice, easy money." I chuckle, trying to cover up that I just lied through my teeth.

My best friend Cooper shoots me a dissaproving look. He's the only one who knows that my feelings are real. Curse that girl for making me fall so goddamn hard.

I sit there on my bed with my best friend Ava on a duo video call.

"You have to tell him!"

"I know, but what if he doesn't feel the same way?"

"Honey, trust me. He will. You two share some kind of connection, just walk over to your window and tell him that you love him!"

"I don't know, love is a strong word."

"Emma Louise Parker! You love that boy. The way you look at him, everything shows IT!"

"Ava Grace Madison! I'm just so worried. You know how bad my trust issues are, besides his friends are over there now-" I'm cut off by Ava.

"The more the merrier. If you confess in front of him and his friends, then he admits to loving you back, you have an audience to 'awwww' and 'ooooo'."

"His friends aren't really the 'awwww' and 'ooooo' ing types."

"Em. Just suck it the fuck up and tell him how you feel." With that she hangs up.

I turn and look out my window. The lights are on and I can hear him laughing.
