Tae was used to people throwing shade at him for being a magic holder. He was one of the last few known to the public, one of the only magic holders that didn't hide themselves away.
Maybe that was because he didn't really care what others thought, he just wanted to live freely.
Though, that didn't mean their mean words didn't get to him sometimes. The worst in his opinion, was when he was called evil. Tae was the furthest thing from evil, didn't have a mean bone in his body.
