The usual starter pack of some character being the first girl in the glade and blah, blah, blah. Yeah..not what I'm gonna do. Let's start like this, trapped, hopeless, with no way out. That is the life in the glade. No one knows why they are there or how to get out. They try to keep each other in a state of sweet ignorance. Just to keep their sanity. But the ones that were there the longest they know. They know the hard truth that would cause other gladers to lose their minds. These few chosen ones became fearless. Warning: As my bio says I am not a native English speaker, I am from Slovakia and English is just my second language. And because Slovakia is some lost country in the middle of Europe I didn't yet get my hands on the Maze Runner books in English I only read them in Slovak and let me tell you that isn't as good...So I will be mainly basing this book on the movie, of course using some things from the books as well from time to time. Emily is the second person up in the Glade and the first girl. With new people being sent up every month, finding a way out of the maze wouldn't seem to be so hard. Only problem? She can't talk. DISCLAIMER! This is a Newt fanfic that's based on the book and the movie of The Maze Runner. This fanficiton mainly takes place before Thomas enters the Glade, meaning it will not follow any story but my own. Please note that anything known about life in the Glade before Thomas is something I chose to ignore or incorporate in the story my own way. Since this story takes place before the franchise, it doesn't follow the storyline of the book nor the movie.
