Ray, Emma, and Norman were childhood best friends. They found out the secret about the farms together. Even when Norman gets shipped Ray, Emma, and the others escapee the farms and are on the run to the human world. When they find this one particularly nice shelter with rooms for everyone. It's here that they found Norman and the other Lamba escapees were alive and planning on killing all the demons.
