Growing underground made Serina believe that violence would always resolve anything.
Kill or get killed.
"You little bitch, dress yourself. Someone's interested with you tonight, behave or I'll let you starve until you die." This has always been her situation. Blessed with a beautiful face and body, Garren sees his child as someone who could easily bring money.
At a young age, Serina Gaia was known a prostitute. That was when she met Kuchel in a bar.
"Kuchel," The woman approached and smiled. "Do you mind if I ask what you're doing here?" Slowly, the child looked up only to find gentleness and the feeling of being secured in Kuchel's eyes.
"I can't go back home empty-handed.." The woman was beyond shocked. Thinking the kid shouldn't be there, Kuchel brought her somewhere.
"Come, I'll let you meet my son." The first thing that Serina saw was a kid who was silently sitting at the small bed. Upon seeing Kuchel, the kid ran to hug her.
"Levi," Serina soon felt something heavy in her chest, like an important puzzle piece was missing in her heart. Kuchel held Levi as she turned to gently hold Serina's hands. "You haven't told me your name yet, love.."
"Serina... just Serina," she wasn't very proud of her father's surname and feels nothing but pure disgust and hatred.
"Levi.. Serina,"
"Your name reminds me of the calmness of the moon... When you reach aboveground, look at how beautiful the moon is, for me, okay?" Kuchel laughed.
"How about you-"
"As long as you're both breathing under the same moon, you should be fine.. It would connect us all together." Serina treasured someone's words.

Darkness. That's all I could see. Everywhere I looked, the inky blackness engulfed my vision. I squinted, searching for any speck of light, but found nothing. "Hello?!" My shouts echoed unanswered into the void. Panic rose as the darkness pressed down. I was alone here, floating in nothingness.
I racked my aching mind, trying to recall how I came to be trapped in this endless night. Then, I heard it. A voice, calling my name. It repeated like a broken record, pleading for me to wake up.
Could I be...dead?
Slowly, I opened my eyes, wincing as sunlight flooded in through a nearby window. Blinking, I took in my surroundings - a hospital room. I glanced right to see cabinets stocked with medicine, then left, where a familiar pair of dull gray eyes met my violet ones.
Relief, care, guilt, and confusion swirled in those stormy irises. Confusion...over what I was. The question I dreaded to answer. In his usual monotone, he asked,
"𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂?"
