" Human. " I heard her mutter to herself.
I was so confused and also lost.
' What the heck I am a human. ' I thought.
Then It dawned on me. She never saw a human up close.
She turned to face me a smirk play on her lips.
" What are you doing here? " She asked me narrowing her long eyelashes at me.
" I wanted to explore. " I say trying to keep my voice steady.
She laughed. " Like I believe that boy! "
" How come you're not attacking me? " I asked.
She looked down at the ground then back up and said. " I can't. "
I was shocked hearing her say that.
" Weird I know something about you just hooks me in. I don't know what it is but I like it. " She says every word she says, taking a step closer and closer to me.
I gulp nervously.
She laughs again. " Nervous. "
" A little. " I say trying to sound calm and cool.
" Audrey. " She says smiling at me showing her pearly white teeth
I don't know what was going on. All I remember was her saying. "Audrey " and that was it. I passed out into complete darkness.

Into The Light
I heard the the snow crunching under foot as I ran as fast as my legs would take me through the forest. The air whipped through my hair as I ran, creating a ribbon like flow behind me. I dipped and dodged around trees, careful not to trip or run into anything. Just a little further, I thought to myself. I knew I would be safe as soon as I saw the little cottage at the end of the thick forest. I was so close to my freedom, so close to opening the door. Bam! My body instantly became cold. I squealed as the snow fell into my collar and down my back. I wiggled trying to get it to pass through my coat and drop out the bottom. I turned around with a glare on my face. My father stood facing me with a smug grin. Again, I attempted to stomp into the house when suddenly, my mother jumped out at me out of no where and pelted snowballs at my entire body, I noticed through the chaos my big sister was also helping her. "OKAY! I surrender!" I cried, falling back into the icy blanket with tears of laughter flowing from my eyes. ********* I gasped as I woke from my dream. I looked at the forest around me. Cold, dark and empty. I still had hope that they were just hiding and that this was all just a bad dream, but after a moment or two of listening to the trees creaking, I sighed. I was alone.

"Silly boy - you dare ask me that question?" I frown at him instantly - taken aback when he gripped my chin. Yanking me close enough towards him, our lips almost touched. She imagined it almost asking for her touch. It didn't cross her mind how she knew he'd be soft, or how she even knew the creature was a 'he' to begin with. As her finger just barely grazed the animal, multiples things happened. She felt something shock her causing her to pull her hand back, just as thunder and lightning sounded. When the light cleared the animals' eyes, were narrowed into slits, and it was growling. It was a deep menacing sound that sent her stumbling backward, heart wildly beating. It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her? She kept moving backward in the rain, slipping in her converses as the creature continued growling. It was then she knew she was prepared to run, no matter what happened.
