Author's Note: Recently, we discovered being plural, and were diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder by a mental health professional. The writings from here will be somewhat reminiscent of our experiences, though somewhat not. The goal of writing this is to help the system dissolve the shame of discovering these experiences, and also write a story that we all enjoy and hopefully you will enjoy. All done from the safe space of us remaining as anonymous as possible. That said, these will only be somewhat exclusive to our experiences and do not represent all plural experiences, dissociative disorder experiences, etc.

Ashamed: A Tale of Forbidden Romance
I am from India. And here we have huge families. As in you might be genetically far from each other but still if you share the surname to be specific gotra and your great great grandparents were related then you people are considered cousins. You are cousins. And it is a sin to have romantic desires in such scenarios. My story is somewhat similar. Our protagonists are each other's far away cousins. They share a surname, they share the gotra. So it is expected that they consider each other as brother and sister. But when you meet that brother/sister of yours once a year you don't actually believe you are a family. This story is about what happens when their path interacts, not once but so many times, and the feelings that develop aren't brotherly or sisterly.

Arabella She's just three and doesn't remember anything about the outside world. Her world is confined to the little cell where she lives with her mother. After the mother dies, anything but a kind man saves her and takes her in. She's new to the feelings of being cared for and she's scared about the new family she's about to live with. What happens when a mother and father get a divorce leaving their seven children heart broken and seperated from one another. When the father receives full custody of the 5 of them after not willing to fight for the 2 youngest which the judge thought it would be a "fair" choice. Now 10 years laters the two youngest have been now taken away from their neglectful mother by the social services to be put back with their older brothers. Invisible String
In the dimly lit waiting room of the therapist's office, a young woman sits with tense shoulders and determined eyes. She's just come out of her session-relieved, but still tangled in a quiet storm. She's a survivor of a traumatic kidnapping, and it shows-not in scars, but in the way she carries herself. Small in stature, yes, but you can feel the simmering anger beneath her skin, forged by everything she's been through and everything no one helped her fix. Across the room, another person waits. Quieter. Equally haunted. She fidgets, eyes darting, unable to stay still for long. There's history in her posture-years of growing up around violence, chaos, and never feeling safe. Her ADHD doesn't help; her mind's a pinball machine of thoughts, never landing, always spinning. When the first woman rises to leave, their eyes meet. Just for a second. Long enough to say everything words can't. "He's not really helping us, is he?" she murmurs under her breath. The other just nods. Silent. Knowing. Maybe they weren't supposed to meet again.
