Callie blames herself for her best friend Sawyer's death. The night of the 'Epic Party of the Year' Sawyer catches Callie making out topless with Jake Hamilton one of the hottest guys of Man High. Sawyer storms off and thats the last time Callie ever saw Sawyer. Sawyer was killed by a drunk driver but police don't know who it is since the driver fled the scene but still left two empty bottles of whiskey in their truck. And then the unthinkable happens. Sawyer's boyfriend commits suicide and Callie's whole life is being shattered into pieces. But then Callie meets the new history teacher Peter Woods.
