Ok so this is going to be a modern au with gothic Ponyboy. This story will also have the ship Ponyboy x Curly. Also Ponyboy is nonbinary, they go by they/them.
So this is going to be about ponyboy being super goth, super sensitive, has a stutter all all other stuff that i cant think of right now. So the first chapter is going to be about the gang (except Darry and Sodapop) finding out that Darry and Sodapop have a younger sibling and said little sibling is getting out of the mental hospital in a few days. As for what they are in the mental hospital for...read to find out.
As for most of the chapters are going to be (extremely adorable/funny/sad) stuff me and my best friend come up with.

When they were apart, they started communicating through old walkie-talkies they found on the country grounds. After quite a while, the case became more serious, police searching everywhere, getting closer to their hiding area. Ponyboy and Johnny had no other choice, they had to travel upstate, risking their bond and possibly separating. Darrel is stressed with work and taking care of his two brothers and was getting angry a lot recently. Sodapop felt disconnected and almost sick all of the time and was very tired of being a middleman to his brothers all the time. Ponyboy was struggling with his sexual orientation and was scared what others would say when he realised he had fallen in love with, not even a girl, but Johnny Cade. Really just me trauma-dumping onto all of the Curtis brothers and adding Darrel's anger issues to the mix.Complete

Steve(21) Hasn't had a chance to leave this awful place. He has stayed around for the kids, wanting nothing more to be there for each one's graduation. Confused. Lonely. Depression has really started to hit in the last couple of years after all of the tragic losses to the upsidedown. Nearly losing everything and everyone he's cared for and loved. Most everyone has gotten their chance to escape, Nancy and Jonathan moved to California after graduation. Robin's off at college. Until he realizes maybe he's not so alone here, sparking a true friendship with the most unlikely person, Eddie Munson. Eddie(22) hasn't been able to get out of this town either after swearing he would get the hell out of here many years ago. The kids are all graduating this year, which will most likely end up giving the two now men, no reason to stick around anymore. But what will happen to the two friends when Steve realizes the feelings he's thought for so long to just be a platonic friendship have always been a little more? I do not own rights to the ST characters or themes but I do own rights to my own storyline. I will be using pictures from artists that I find as the art for each chapter.
