TLDR: this is just a story (I have 0 idea how long it's going to be rn) detailing some adventures of a succubus and a vampire.
The 'R' of the TLDR: So I recently happened upon danny phantom.exe's YT and, thoroughly amused, have decided to write what I suppose is technically a fanfic. Not a fan of RPF's (been there, done that, not doing it again, ty) *but* apparently there's a character he does, a Brit gentleman from the 1800s named... Voltiaere??
AU with an anti-hero vampire? We can work with that.
TBH I'm overloaded with work outside, so obv this is exactly what I need right now :) Welp. Need to get over writer's block somewhere, somehow, amirite?

She's never left her town, but Dad says smallness in surroundings helps the mind grow. She only has one friend, but Dad says that friends stall development through distractions. She has a rare form of cancer for which she takes medicine for every day. Dad says it keeps the cancer's growth at bay. When Emma meets her friend's boyfriend, his mysterious healing capabilities lead to the discovery that she's not sick... What else has her dad lied to her about? And what's the medicine really for? ---I don't own Danny Phantom---- I normally wouldn't do fan fiction, but I've been reading a lot of Danny Phantom fan fic and there was none that really visited his future, so... Cold Fire Rising
This story is a rewrite of a fanfic I wrote in 1998, popular in the TMNT fandom. I have been getting emails from strangers asking me for "Cold Fire" or to write a new story in the same world, a world in which Michelangelo gains telekinetic and telepathic powers via alien technology but at a nearly fatal price. Angst, Tragedy, and Hurt/Comfort were my Tropes to play with. Mikey got hurt a lot. But being psionic helps delay death, you know? Now I get to play with the 2012 reboot from Nick. Despite my skepticism, it really grew on me. Mikey has freckles! And huge bright blue eyes! And he's the comedic prankster with secret brilliant intelligence, the loud silly annoying weird hedonist with ADHD and natural ninja skills who could be the most powerful martial artist if he'd concentrate his potential. It irritated me at first when April O'Neil was brought in as a hybrid teen human with Kraang DNA and psychic powers. But once it was established that in Dimension X, Michelangelo was very powerful, I realized that potentially, Mikey could also have Kraang DNA, which is why he is able to navigate Dimension X as if it were his natural state. "Hey, in crazy backwards land, crazy backwards dude is king." And it does make me wonder if the writers will actually touch upon that. If Mikey really has Utrom DNA, and if it is activated, would he be potentially psychic? I'm not waiting to find out. This story takes place in the middle of Season 4. But I imagine they could take a break for a few months to deal with... um... this. It's technically an AU since I ignore and expand the canon six months. Warnings for gore, violence, language, descriptions of medical procedures. Hallucinations and creepy nightmares abound. I get very rough with Mikey and his brain.)Complete

Humans don't understand how someone can be both dead and alive, and that fact scares them, it opens up the possibility of a threat even if there is no evidence of malevolent intent. So, the only solution in the minds of humanity is to dominate and subjugate the unknown variable until it no longer has even the potential to be a threat. They choose to pretend that the unknown variable is lesser, that humanity is superior on no other grounds than that it's humanity. Danny had been stuck with the G.I.W for years when the Young Justice team rescued him. Broken, beaten, and none the wiser of the greater majority of humans, the humans with kindness in their eyes and light in their souls. He's been trapped in the darkness of greed and fear and violence for far too long, and what's left behind is a fractured mind and a trained weapon. Buried underneath that, however, is a young child who is scared and confused, a child that hasn't seen the light of day in years. That child never expected to see the bright side to existence, to see the light shine in the souls of the righteous. That all changed with one group of heroes, and one family of Bats.
