It's infested with zombies and desperate survivors. Add some cracked streamers and a girl whose life ended before it started? Shit hits the fan multiple times.

Slow burn...? I think it is. It is gonna take a while for some actual romance to kick in or any type of fluff but teasing and bonding is already there!

After the Waves devastated the Earth, modern society collapsed. Governments didn't know what to do, and much of the world's treaties and society's pre-imposed rules went out the window. A survival for the fittest. For Tommy, his life of gaming for hours on end was disrupted, and he couldn't go back. Tommy is skeptical about these "beasts" that the kingdom is oh-so frightened about, so he sets out during the night, full of curiosity, to see if they're real, or just a myth. But you know what they say. "Curiosity killed the cat." Or in this case, "Curiosity killed the kid." But does he die? Maybe not. Are some of those "wicked beasts" actually nice if they're even real? Ranboo is a nineteen year old merman. There's not much to his life, other than the fact that he's a merman. You may think it would be fun to be a merman or mermaid or merperson or whatever, but it's actually pretty boring. There's nothing to do besides swimming, swimming, and swimming some more. Ranboo's father is the king/god of the ocean. Now, that's pretty cool, right? Wrong! His father doesn't let him do anything. He has to stay at the castle all day and night doing jack shit. One day, when Ranboo sneaks out to go to the peer, he spots a boy, maybe just a year or two younger than him, in an unsafe ordeal. Ranboo's quick thinking saves the boy, and then Ranboo's life starts to change. Hello! As of making this, our members of the Dream SMP are being bullied, threatened and shamed. So, my hopes of the outcome of this book is to bring comfort to any of the true fans of our lovely streamers. Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo will be included, BUT THE RELATIONSHIPS WILL BE PLATONIC! Update 5/4/24: I am officially done with his book. I know I never did any other updates, organized or fixed stories like I wanted. A young blonde boy wakes up in the middle of the forest. He can't remember how he got there or much about himself either. His name is blank from his mind, and he can't even remember his family. His clothes are torn and dirty, and he wonders what happened. He's not hungry, but he wants a small snack, yet every apple tree and every berry bush he passes doesn't strike his fancy. He eventually makes it to a city. Large buildings are fallen over and the ones still standing have busted out windows and/or have smoke and fire coming from them. He can hear distant screams and yells and gunshots. There are people passing him that are strange. They're badly injured and walk slightly hunched over. Some are missing limbs, and some are missing and eye, or both. They don't even appear to be alive to the boy. They look his way but don't mind him. Tommy is confused and scared. He can slightly remember this place to be his once home, and it makes him upset that's it's gone to such shit, and scared by everyone's screams and the fires and the fighting, and mostly, the fact that some people are eating each other.
