Mother, the Queen of Darkness, has been relentlessly shrouding the world in mayhem. Save for one last militia, no one dared to face the insane matriarch. Under the jurisdiction of Commander Tahan, the once prevailing militia has suffered dwindling numbers and hope in the war. In a twist of luck, a Master Necromancer appears on the doorstep of the fortress to offer his services.

With Master Necromancer Dmitry on the militia's side, the tides begin to turn as he is the only one who can help them find the Last Sane Awoken-the only hope left to defeat Mother. One day, Dmitry hears a call in the distance... a call from the dead. With the fate of the world depending on him, he follows the voice until he arrives at Amaral manor, home of the tyrant dragon hybrid.

Facing the dragon could prove perilous, but the threat of Mother's reign outweighed conferring with the tyrant. Upon Dmitry's arrival, he makes a startling discovery, one that complicates the Necromancer's directive. Escaping the manor won't be easy, but time is running out before everyone they know, and love will perish into Mother's abyss...

"It is time for you to find a suitable lady to marry, don't you think?", my mother comments. Our feast has nearley started and I have already had enough. "Not something I occupy myself thinking about.", I comment, not sure if the told lie was for her, or for me. "Stark girl is looking for a husband. Talissa, if I remember correctly. I think she would be a good fit for you.", she persists and I chuckle, "A good fir for me yet you barely know her name." She opens her mouth to speak but I decide to put a stop to this annoying conversation, "A wife is something I do not need nor desire at this moment. If my dearest sister becomes queen my martial status will be the last thing to keep you up at night." My mother looks at me, "That won't happen, I assure you." Helaena touches mothers hand, taking her attention away from me. I tab my middle finger on the wooden table a few times, lifting my eye to find the person that has been, to my discomfort, taking a fraction of my mind lately. She's talking to Damon, a smile painted across her face as she rests her chin on her hand, carefully listening to him talking. It took some time before her eyes swiftly shifted from his face to mine and the realization of me looking made her drop her arm and straighten up in her seat. My attention made her visibly nervous. Few moments later she stood up and, without thinking, my body did the same. I start walking, making sure I don't loose her in the crowd. I am playing a dangerous game but it is something I simply can not seem to resist. ***** When Damon Targen finds an old broken amulet at his deceased grandmothers house, he asks his friend and co-worker Emma for help in finding more about it, but what they discover will lead them down the complicated path of his family tree and history, eventually getting them trapped in a world they know little about ...a world where war is about to break out and every small move you make decides if you will live or die.

Maeve's ability to touch others' souls can be heartbreaking and confusing, but when she connects with two murderers, it turns her world upside down. Are they still killers if they only kill monsters? What starts as a random attack on the street stopped by two strangers quickly escalates as Maeve discovers her attackers were demons. Thrusting her into their violent world, Maeve struggles to hold on to her humanity, making choices she never believed she would have to make. Disturbed but drawn to each of them. Will's bestial nature calls to her one moment and rejects her the next. While a powerful attachment to Ander's gentle soul comforts her, but every time they connect, she feels his darkness just below the surface. Will's entire life has been a war against monsters, alongside his best-friend Ander. Honor bound by duty, he is brutal, relentless, and uncompromising in his mission to protect the masses. He didn't understand how much his world would change after saving Maeve, or how she would shatter his convictions. Ander may have magical talents but in his mind, nothing will redeem him from the abomination he is. Bound by more than shed blood, Will, his adopted brother, and only friend. Together they seek and destroy aberrations that poison the world. Until Maeve touched his hand, there was nothing else but the mission. With her, Ander could see a different side of himself, a different life. This is a character driven story written from the 3 main characters POV's. It's a mature adult dark romance & contains dubious triggering situations that some might find offensive. If you want an instant, fearless heroine, Maeve won't be it. Her story is discovering who she is & what power love can bring versus kicking monsters asses. Power & money aren't the only things that make the world turn & those that wield the greatest power control destiny. If you're looking for heroes, Will & Ander are NOT it. If you're drawn to tortured villainous souls, you'll enjoy their saga.

*WARNING* Mention of suicide Blood/violence Homophobic slur Death. Lots of death. Murder and betrayal ~ "James?" I asked. He dropped his scythe. "No. Nononono. This is a mistake. You're a mistake." "James what the hell? You were dead! What's going on!?" "I am dead, idiot. You're dead too--" "Oh my god, my mom's going to kill me," "Looks like someone already beat her to it," he said. I gaped. "I'm your-- dammit-- your guide." ~ James Abbatiello, a 17 year old committed suicide. It might've been Ricky's fault. At least, a little bit. Then something else unfortunate happened. Ricky also died, getting into a fight with the people who practically killed James. Now, James has to lead Ricky through the In Between to get to The dead world, AKA Tamir, but there are many obstacles they need to face, including birds trying to eat them, wolves and bees, and fighting their own shadows on top of a train. ~ Also I'm writing this with a friend, so it's not just my work. Also she drew the original cover and the updated version (LOOK AT IT ITS SO GOOD 😭😭😭) and yeah so thank you Lucy uwu ♥️🙏
