The story takes place in the early 20th century but planes are already invented and there are airports and stuff. I tried to orient a bit on the actual historical situation in the countries, but it's definitely not 100% accurate! When a Faun and a Cervitaur meets... Well, what sounds like a hilarious joke is Brett's real life. Not only did he have to run away from a bloodthirsty monster who wants to kill him, but he also needs to sort out his head and heart. Being in love isn't easy, especially when you fall for a cute man (which you also wrongly assumed to be a girl on the first meeting) of another race and species. Society isn't ready as a whole for that - and honestly, neither is Brett himself. But he has to push through, be it ferocious friends, creepy sea-creatures or sisters-in-law who make your whole body tremble in fear. And then there are cupids and a lot of other creatures who might help him - or want to kill him. At least the panther won't eat him, right?
