Au in which Eddy and Brett are living in China and are sons of poor peasants. They are working in different factories and best friends (or could there be more than friendship?) The story takes place in the early 20th century but planes are already invented and there are airports and stuff. I tried to orient a bit on the actual historical situation in the countries, but it's definitely not 100% accurate! The story is vaguely based on a dream of mine and the Twosetweek prompts of April 2020. It's my first real fanfic, I hope you like it😊 ~MollyComplete

When a Faun and a Cervitaur meets... Well, what sounds like a hilarious joke is Brett's real life. Not only did he have to run away from a bloodthirsty monster who wants to kill him, but he also needs to sort out his head and heart. Being in love isn't easy, especially when you fall for a cute man (which you also wrongly assumed to be a girl on the first meeting) of another race and species. Society isn't ready as a whole for that - and honestly, neither is Brett himself. But he has to push through, be it ferocious friends, creepy sea-creatures or sisters-in-law who make your whole body tremble in fear. And then there are cupids and a lot of other creatures who might help him - or want to kill him. At least the panther won't eat him, right? Well, nothing is at it seems and Brett has to grow up and learn what life is outside the farmlands. Nothing worthwhile will come easy, right? At least he has this gorgeous friend by his side!
