My story is about a young woman who works in a library. After finishing up a long night shift, she concounters strange noises that make her suspect there is another person left in the building. But this is only the beginning of her problems. Once she steps outside of the building, she will grapple with the nervous look of police officers and a stranger confusedly in love. What will she do? What else may she encounter?

"Please," I whisper, my voice trembling as tears prick the corners of my eyes. "Please don't hurt me." The words barely escape my throat, fragile and desperate. He studies me for a moment, tilting his head slightly, almost as if he's amused by my plea. Then he scoffs, the sound sharp and mocking. "Why would I want to do that?" he murmurs, his voice smooth but carrying a dark undertone that chills me. He takes a step forward, and instinctively, I step back. "I've just found you..." He pauses, his gaze dragging over my face like a predator sizing up its prey. "And now you're mine." Aurora Evans leads a life of simplicity. Lola, a 30-year-old woman, finds herself stalking her boyfriend after a breakup, a position she could never imagine herself to get into, especially at this age. The book starts at a point when Lola has parked her car by her b/f's gym, waits in the car, hoping to see him when he exits the building. She knows what she doing is wrong, and she shouldn't do that, but she is not in control of her emotions, and it is quite the opposite. She feels she needs to see him and to talk to him. And while she waits, all kinds of thoughts are going through her head: "I have a feeling he is seeing someone. I don't want to think about what I'm gonna do to him!" and shortly after: "Maybe I should just leave before he sees me? No! I can't. When you are rolling off a cliff you just can't stop. I guess you need to feel the bottom. The only problem - you don't know where that bottom is." And she is trying to analyze how is it that she got attached to him so quickly and so strongly: "What has he done to me? Is it some kind of a spell? How could I get so attached to him so soon? Is this how true love is supposed to feel? Losing yourself in someone, completely? Or is that just the stupid me?" At this point, the reader may get the impression that Lola is the type of girl that rarely gets the attention of attractive men, and this is why she behaves like that. To their surprise, it turns out that this is not the case. Lola is a tall and astonishingly beautiful woman. She is fun and sarcastic. Men are flocking around her trying to get her attention. And of course, she is not flawless, just like anybody else. And the man she is stalking is just an average guy.. But we don't want to spoil you the whole story. This is a love story has passion and sex in it, as well as fights and misunderstandings. And the main question remains: will Lola succeed in getting him back, or her attempts will only backfire? He lays his hand on mine and 8 can't help but look up, "Umm, to be honest, no, but that's not any of your business. Sorry again." I break the eye contact. "It can be if someone is trying to hurt you." He stops me again. "H- How did you..." I stop and am now looking him dead in the eye. "This is gonna sound creepy, but I've been watching you." He looks panicked, "Not in a creepy way though!" "What?" I keep eye contact. "I've just been observing you. That sounds awful." He looks and sounds even more panicked than before, "I mean, I think you're beautiful and I just didn't know how to approach you. I tend to be socially awkward with girls I have an interest in and I didn't want to scare you off..." He trails off, "But when I see you around, my gaze gravitates towards you," he sighs, "I sound like a total creep. I'm sorry." He pauses, "I've noticed you've been looking over your shoulder a lot and are in a rush in the halls. Almost like you're running away from something..." His eyes meet mine and I can tell he's being genuine, "I can help you." he says sympathetically. I nod and whisper, "He's always knows where I am and always knows my next move."Complete

Frida started sketching something with her stylus, eyes flicking to her screen as she adjusted the axes of a diagram, mumbling, "...and then this boundary layer here starts behaving like a switch... not instant, but sharp. Sharp enough." Inés leaned in to see. "You mean like a Heaviside approximation?" Frida rolled her eyes, barely biting back a grin. "No. I mean like an actual boundary layer. I thought you said you weren't rusty." That earned her a low hum from Inés - amused, maybe a little provoked. "You want sharp? I'll give you sharp," she muttered, reaching for her own laptop, the tip of her manicured nail clicking a little too decisively on the trackpad. "You're missing the substructure that governs the transition here-see?" Frida glanced over. "That's an assumption, not a proof." "Do you want this to work or do you want it to be romantic?" Frida laughed - surprised and a little breathless. "God. Is that how you think I talk about math?" Inés tilted her head, lips curling. "Only when you're trying to seduce me with it." Frida blinked. Her ears went hot. "I'm not-" "Not trying?" Inés cut in, pretending to glance back at the diagram, feigning innocence, but there was no missing the gleam in her eye. "Shame. Because it's working." Frida looked away sharply, pressing her fingers to the corner of her mouth like she could keep a smile in by force. "You're infuriating." "You're distracted." "You're distracting." Inés made a quiet, pleased sound at that and sat back for a moment, the back of her hand brushing the edge of Frida's chair. "Tell me more about the way you're treating the constraint set when it fractures," she said finally, voice smooth again, back in control - or pretending to be. Frida inhaled and kept going, though her voice was slightly lower now, the words sticking a little as she spoke.Complete

Eventually, the marines see her as a friend instead of a foe, and choose to take her under their wing and hire her, yet when things begin to look up for Ruby and the Marine Officer, their situation takes a turn for the worst and grows grim... what will happen next? and will the two be able to travel The Distance?
