The Pure Vessel

The world of Hallownest has always been inhabited by bugs. The sun rises and sets over the dawn on a new era. The different places lived in harmony, until the Radiance came.

The Radiance was once the Light. The God the of the Moths. When the Pale King came, and expanded the minds of the bugs, the Radiance was forgotten.

Soon, a golden light began to spread her memory. It began as a blazing light that could break the minds of bugs and enslave them.

This began to be known as the Infection.

One was chosen by the Pale King, deemed to be pure, to seal the Radiance away.

However, this was not the case. That chosen one was not pure. The Radiance brought them to the brink of insanity.

The Radiance escaped into Hallownest, and wiped out the rest of the Kingdom.

Eventually, she began to threaten all of Hallownest.

That is where you come in.

You must wake up.
