COLD (a nigerian story)
"Nevaeh you need to understand that life ain't a bed of roses. It has it's ups and downs but that doesn't mean you should blame God for that! Once in a while you lose people you love. It's not because God hates you or because he doesn't exists. It's because that's what is meant to happen." He said dropping his fanta. "God exists. And that's why you and I are still living" he finished. I frowned at him not wanting to press the issue further. He held my gaze, his eyes not leaving mine. I looked down at my plate trying to avoid his bold stare. "This sucks" I muttered. Daniel and Yimika are practically the same in this God thingy. How the heck did I get myself tangled with them?! ############## Have you ever come across someone with so much drama in their life? If you haven't... Meet Yemisi Nevaeh Simon, A fifteen years old Nigerian who has spent fourteen years of her life living in America but comes down to Nigeria with her family. Daughter of a well respected Godly Billioniare. Loves to express herself, cold hearted, mean, self centered, selfish and lots more. Used to be a Christian but things changed when her twin died in a 'gun shot' right behind her. She doesn't give up yet in searching for her twin because of the mysteries that keep unfolding. She meets Yimika Owolabi, the complete opposite of her, but like the saying, opposite attracts, they became best friends. She also meets Daniel, but after a loong time...they finally get along. What then happens when Tony comes? Because in my point of view, they are like birds of the same feathers so why didn't they want to flock together at the beginning? Fights for justice, Fights for love, Fights for right. There is a little plot twist though. Maybe or maybe not........... NO CUSSING, SWEARING OR MATURE CONTENTS. Goosebumps arose on my skin like a mass army and the class felt suddenly cold. What the hell is happening? Why do I feel so...so... prickly? "Christ Simi" Nana whispered, wide eyed in shock, "I just called you baby and you are gushing all over. I knew you loved me" "I'm not blushing! Why would I blush because of that? Abeg shift joor" I said and hissed, then turned back to solving my past questions (which I wasn't concentrating on because I kept hearing that stupid word in my ear) "C'mon baby, you know you like me. You are just too shy and proud to admit it" he said again. "I don't like you Nana, is it that hard to get? Besides, reserve that name for your girlfriend" ********** Similola Adams is happy being back to school in the final term of the final year.
