Everybody knows the name Elena Gilbert. But what about her sister? Toni Gilbert is Elena's older sister by a year. They were both living completely happy and normal lives with their younger brother Jeremy, until the night of the crash. What happens when all of a sudden, they're pulled into the world of the supernatural, which includes witches, vampires, doppelgangers, werewolves and hybrids? What happens when Toni finds out that she's not a normal human like once thought?
