The soccer field was the only place Alexis felt at home, where it seemed like finally, she had found her purpose. Streaking down the field like a bolt of lighting, using her endurance to power through the opponents, all while taming the ball that bobbled between her feet, drifting forward a bit with each dribble, was the best feeling she could imagine.  

But the bad news strikes her like a tornado, capturing and taking away all the things she used to cherish about the sport.

There's a spark for the ball, sure, always. 

But for the heart? It's new, that's for sure.
