Ava Sonsona's heart is already torn apart by the time her mother dumps her at Camp Rosewood. Her parents are divorced, and its a huge hassle to get from her father's house in Georgia to her mother's, in South Carolina; her brother was off at college, and he could care less about the burdens he'd dropped on her. So, great, she was stuck in the wilderness for 13 weeks doing stupid camp activities. As soon as Ava settles in of course, she steals the hearts of multiple people at camp, including mysterious but attractive camp counselor Olivia Cullen. After a legend is told around the campfire, campers start going missing, and Ava starts to fall for someone, she and her newfound friends start to investigate. When the clues lead Ava to a horrible conclusion, Ava has no choice but to face her fears, for everyone's sake.
