Janet would never admit it, never confess this- even to her own subconscious. But she was in deep with Katrina, love had grasped her and shackled her in, and she wasn't on planning on letting go either.

Janet sat on the large window seat, overlooking the children playing outside, and finding it amusing how Chad tried to control them.
The twins were chasing Texas around with some sticks, that were surprisingly not whittled into arrows or something similar. Riley was busy getting taught how to ride a bike by Buddy, and Chad was observing how Diamond was - once again surprisingly - drawing on the side walk with chalk that Riley had dug up from the depths of her bedroom.
Janet saw the reflection of her twin sister, Marie, approaching her. She sat down and looked at her sister, eyes more worried than yesterday.
"Don't. She's not even dead." Janet mumbled, keeping her eyes firmly glued on the kids and Chad.
"Don't get your hopes up-"
"You've met her two and a half times, I've known her for nearly a year before she left. And I am certain she will be back." Janet snapped, momentarily glaring at her sister before focusing on the now targeted Chad being chased by the twins and Texas.
She smiled at the twins, with them being near carbon copies of Kristina.
"Jan, you can't be sure. She could be dea-"
"No, she isn't!" Janet hissed."If her ma ain't worried, I won't be either."
