Kazen was tired of letting their father control their life.

Prince Zuko was banished for speaking his mind.

Kazen doesn't understand the purpose of it all until they run into a certain Fire Nation Prince and the air nomad Avatar he seeks. As Kazen gets to know both parties, their purpose becomes clear: they must bridge the gap between the Fire Nation and the Air Nation. But how does one even begin mending a 100 year old wound?
