I trembled as I looked up at the tall boy that all losers knew better than to cross.... Royce Herrera. He gave me a disgusted look before rolling his eyes. "Watch where you're going, freak," he said in a bored and agitated voice. I shook as I nodded my head quickly and then picked my broken glasses up along with my books that had flown all over the place before getting up and booking it. Royce Herrera is the original jackass and jock of Midwest High School, and he was known for being the huge jerk that no one crossed. He came to school everyday with a new injury from a fight that everyone knew he had won without a doubt. Royce never gave girls the time of day unless he wanted something from them, then he'd leave them high and dry without a second thought. Everyone either feared him, wanted to be him, or wanted to sleep with him. My name is Emiree Trule and I was literally no one. I had two friends, Emily and Amiee. I was known for getting good grades and having my nose in a book. Which is how this whole fiasco started when Royce asked something unexpected of me, and I played along out of curiosity and what he offered me if it all went good. Is Royce really all bad, or does he have a softer side to him that he keeps guarded with his facade at school? #2 nerdandbadboy 6-27-2021 #4 truce 7-2-2021

I shrunk back into my seat as his head snapped towards me. He looked like his head was going to fall off. His eyes were blazing with rage. His face was set into an icy glare. His fists that rested on the table were clenched so hard his knuckles were white. As he stood from his chair so did I. I felt like the prey to the biggest predator in the jungle. I took two steps back for every stride he took towards me. I gulped again before shaking me head. "She's just joking Ace." my voice quivered as I took another two steps back. "How do I know that?" he sneered down at me, his body towering over me. As I went to take another step backwards, my back made contact with the wall behind me. Well great. Now I'm cornered.
