A shudder went down her spine, walls of thorns spreading about, mocking her.. laughing at her. She looked down to shut her eyes tightly, hoping this was just a scary nightmare. She wanted to wake up to the cooing of her mother when she was just a kitten, but alas, that moment would never come again. The star embedded onto the dusty, dirt floor surrounded her, and it all began to shake. Ground shook and crumbled beneath her paws as thorns shook from the walls and threatened to pierce her as they fell, almost as if it was raining. She looked up as the sky crackled with the ground in disharmony. "No.. this can't be right!" Deep down she knew what this prophecy held, what it told her as she stood in terror, and no matter how much she didn't want to.. she had to believe it.

The four Clans-GrassClan, OakClan, PineClan and WillowClan-have lived in relative balance since the Clans began. They kept separate, save for their Gathering every full moon. While they had their disagreements, they kept a relatively harmonious existence. They had always been four Clans and it was believed that they always would be. For as long as they kept the warrior code alive, the Clans would continue to thrive. That's when the troubles began. One long, hot, dry greenleaf, a fire swept through GrassClan. Some cats were lost but those that survived resumed life in their now scorched territory. They knew that life was going to be harder than ever, but they could not abandon the only home they had ever known. The next couple of seasons, GrassClan struggled to feed themselves with little prey to be found. Yet, they refused to give up. Newleaf found GrassClan weak and starving but with hope on their horizon. Their oldest queen had moved into the nursery. Then, disaster struck a second time. Greencough swept through the Clan, snuffing out the new lives before they had even begun. The dreaded sickness left its mark, stealing the future of the Clan and all hope with it. Life had taken its toll on GrassClan. All that remained were their young leader, their deputy, their elderly medicine cat, one warrior and three elders. They had no apprentices, no she-cats and no kits. The once vibrant Clan was on the brink of dying out. The four Clans would soon be no more. PLEASE READ: this is a really really old book and now I write much better quality stories. I'm actually working on one! So please, I ask, do not read this book. I wrote it when I just couldn't write, but there is no way I'm gonna erase it or un publish it, don't ask why just go with da flow. A dead silence. Cats stared at each other as if the world had disappeared. The trees even seemed to pray silently as the dark warrior approached, three cats hanging limply from his jaws. The rustle of leaves, the scent of prey were the only indication that they were still alive in the forest. But the dark warrior stared at all the cats without flinching. It laughed as he released the cats from his jaws, it smiled as it saw the frightened look on the cat's faces, it walked to the leader proudly, it's pawsteps shacking the forest.
