After the unimaginable loss of her child and eventually her husband of 10 years, Evelyn Cross battles with severe depression that leaves her a shell of the usually happy and creative ray of sunshine she was always known to be. A significant mental relapse triggers a drastic move from her home in London across to the one of the furthest corners of the world - Perth, Western Australia. The move was inspired to help her heal and avoid relapses into the numb void she had called home for so long. Whilst slowly trying to rebuild her life, almost forcibly, she had never considered any getting close to anyone again. When Australian multi-millionaire, Adonis Mikonas, stumbles in her life, he is captivated by Evelyn. He sees the pain in her eyes that he has previously felt within himself and cannot seem to let her go. This story is of recovery, forgiveness, and new chances. __________________________________ He was close, so close. I couldn't help marvel at his facial features. His pale eyes were squinting in concentration as he brought his fingers slowly to inspect the damage. His eyebrows were furrowed deeply and my eyes slowly travelled down his face observing how his tightly closed mouth only increased the sharp appearance of his jaw line. I was looking above his eyebrows again and noticed small but deep scars going into his hair line which made me furrow my brows in thought of what could have caused them, when I looked back down to his eyes, I nearly jumped when I saw he was watching up me intently again. I felt mesmerised and trapped as I looked straight back at his eyes. __________________________________ Hi guys! Thank you so much for giving this story a chance.
