A story in which Briar Selwyn slowly falls in love with Bellatrix Black over the course of their childhood and adolescence. They both subsequently become tangled in Tom Riddle's web, both entrapped and captivated. There's a looming darkness on the horizon, and Briar finds herself drawn to it in the same way a muggle may watch a car crash. It's a horrific and deadly event, deeply unpleasant to look at, but we humans have an innate desire to watch blood run through the streets.
