Everyone deserves a second chance at love and in this case, Monet does.
Having to leave the only home you've known at 14 because of something that wasn't your fault would shake anyone up. 12 years ago, Monet left home scared, feeling alone, and pregnant. Forced away from her friends, school, and family, Monet travels to London to leave with her grandmother and finish her schooling through private tutors.
Leaving at the height of the Second Wizarding War with her grandmother to protect her young daughter and now she's back in London safe and sound with a soon-to-be Hogwarts first year. What more can she expect other than the sexy "dungeon bat" and war hero, Severus Snape?

I have yet to find a Severus Snape fanfic where the love interest is a black woman so I'm making one myself. Don't read it if you don't like the idea. Don't report it if you don't like it.
