What started out as a creative writing project for my senior year of high school English course turned into an ongoing series of (mostly) free form poetry or monologues/slam poems. The theme of the English projects were "Letters I'd Never Send." The idea being that these poems were letters that I never had the guts to send to the people they were written for. Sort of akin to the therapeutic exercise of writing a letter venting your honest opinions of someone, then burning or tearing the letter up, except with more angst and poetic imagery.

Letters I'll Never Send
These are a collection of letters to people that I will never send. They just sum up my thoughts and feelings about how awesome, annoying, and weird the people I know are. This is going to be weird. At first at least. I haven't talked to you in over a year, but the teacher said we should use this diary to express our emotions and the only one I could ever be one hundred percent honest with is you. Those letters to you are worth 25% of my final grade so I must find some interesting things to talk to you about. It's going to be good for me too. It'll help me move on. Help me live my life again.
