Everyone knew him as this big rock star now. Not my town though.
If you ask our teachers a year ago, he was the kid on the edge of dropping out. If you asked the kids in our town, he was the guy who was always high. If you ask his parents, they would have said all of the above.
But to me; he was my first everything. Sure, to everyone else he was a fuck up, but when I knew him, he was just another teenage boy.
But I haven't heard from him in a year since he left in the middle of the night and showed up on tv a few days later.

I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace.
