A Miraculous Ladybug Alternate Reality based on the following soulmate prompt;
"When you and your soulmate admit real love in the presence of the other, their first initial appears on your body"
Marinette Dupain-Cheng's life is far from normal. For starters, she's a smart, beautiful, eighteen-year-old girl with a dream of becoming a fashion designer. She's worked with the famous Jagged Stone, the Mayor of Paris himself, and his wife Audrey Bourgeious, and is on track to being one of the most famous fashion designers in the world. On the flip side, since she was fourteen years old she has been the leader of a teenage superhero team who protects Paris, and sometimes the world, from the evil supervillain Hawkmoth. Life couldn't be any more stressful. And yet, it somehow is. Because when Marinette starts seeing all of her friends finding their forever partners, she starts to doubt if there is really anyone out there for her, and if there is; if she'll even find them.

Marinette's the normal girl with a normal life. Except for the occasional fall and the incident that occurred years ago, her life is fine. But then she meets Luka, whose red string is connected to her. Then she meets Adrien, whose red string is connected to her too. One is her soulmate, the other is her worstmate. The person that's everything you hate. The person that will do anything to get rid of you. And it's the person she least expects. What better way to do this than a field trip to Gotham? Damian, the bloodson and heir to both the Cowl and the Demon's Head, wants nothing to do with the French Class who has won the Wayne Enterprises Summer Internship, yet his father insists he needs better interpersonal skills. He supposes it won't kill him to try to work with this supposedly skilled class president if it means that everyone will get off his back for being 'aggressively asocial' (although he will still keep NDAs on standby). A seal of fate, a blood right, and a hidden prophecy lead Marinette and Damian on a rollercoaster of emotions, humourous misunderstandings, and comeuppance -- and marriage?! ___ Basically my attempt at a soulmate AU, full of just about every Damianette cliche and trope I can think of. He shrugged and sat on the floor near her, staying clear of the train on the dress. "I actually needed a girl's advice." She raised her brow quizzically. "Okay... what does the 'ladies man' need to know?" Referencing the most recent interview he did. "Oh, come on. I didn't expect them to keep that part in the interview." She giggled. "It was funny, I'm glad they kept it in." He flicked her exposed leg through the dress slit. "Okay, but I just had a question about Ladybug." Marinette swallowed hard at the mention of herself. She suddenly felt like she shouldn't be hearing this because she was Ladybug. "Okay, shoot it." He bit his lip, maybe unsure how to word it. "Well... I kinda tried to court her for at least the last 7 months. She didn't accept it, and I finally accepted that myself... but I guess my question is why she might not have wanted me. I'm sorry, I'm not even sure you could answer that... It just seems like Ladybug trusts you, so maybe she mentioned something to you?" -- Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a usually stubborn, headstrong girl, finally gives up on liking Adrien Agreste. He can't seem to take the hint, and she can't seem to conjure the confidence just to tell him.
