My hand aches as I tighten my grip on the small blade's handle, my skin turning white. I look forward as I'm engulfed into the dark, my heart pounding in my chest. I try my best to stay alert, but worry and fear slowly creep into my thoughts. I shake my head to clear my mind, inching forward. I have one job. I take a deep breath and step into the dark blanket of the forest. (Short Story, and still a work in progress!!!)
