"The one and only, kiddies." *** Thomas Sanders lives a happy life, with his Personality Traits as his guides. Logic looks at things with a mind; Morality looks at things with the heart; Princey looks at things with creativity; and Anxiety looks at things with fear and doubt. But long ago, all of the Traits hid a dark infestation in a dark, locked, forgotten room in the back of the Thomas' mind. But when Anxiety went and messed with the room, he let Her out. Now it's up to the Traits to defeat the infestation and destroy Her before she effects Thomas' outside life. But how can you defeat a virus when She's controlling the one you love?

The war is over, families are being reunited, bombs are being exchanged for books, and children are playing in the street once again. 12 year old Inverno Temporale lives with her Mother and sister among the cobblestone roads and the crisp stars at night. But a man by the name of Piero Marco and his underground regime the P.C.L.S. want to change all of that. They claim that everyone with magic are dangerous witches and that they should be separated from the rest of society, leaving Inverno and millions of others with and without magic, in fear for their lives.
