Have you ever wanted to know more about the world of my novels, from the array of species that inhabit it, to depictions of elements from various stories shown in a different perspective? Then this collection is the tale for you...

This book consists of worldbuilding footnotes and details about my stories' universe, and a collection of the various species that have appeared in my novels up to the present point, as well as various forms of literature, from short stories, to fictional guides, to poetry, and other experimental writing, each piece related to one of my past novels in some way or another.

This anthology is an ongoing project, which means it will be updated as new parts are added, be it new poetry or short stories, new species and other updates that may come in when new novels are written in the future. While much of this collection is intended as a worldbuilding guide, it also serves as a testing ground to experiment with different writing styles and ideas. Dark Shards also offers readers a deeper insight or a unique perspective on a certain story or its elements.

So what are you waiting for? Come and journey into the darkness with me...

Lurk's Compendium of Dark Poetry (LCDP)

54 parts Ongoing Mature

In this collection of poetry, the veil is torn away, revealing the undercurrents of darkness that run through the human experience. These poems are raw and relentless, exploring the spaces where light fails to reach, and the truths we fear most come to life. Here, I dive deep into the themes of anguish, hypocrisy, and the unsettling beauty of chaos, exposing the fractures in the walls we build around ourselves. Each piece in this collection challenges the reader to question the very foundations of what we consider "civilized." Society likes to paint over its imperfections with politeness and rules, but these poems chip away at that facade, uncovering the rawness beneath. I explore the darkness not as something to be feared, but as a vital, undeniable part of our existence-an aspect of humanity that is as real as any light. This is not a comfortable read. It's not meant to be. These poems force you to confront the fragility of the human condition, the duality of beauty and brutality, and the lies we tell ourselves to keep chaos at bay. If you're ready to peel back the layers of falsehood and face the darkness within, this collection will take you there. It's a journey into the heart of what it means to be human, where every line draws you deeper into the abyss. Dare to explore the cracks in our polished world? This is where the shadows speak their truths.
