300 years after Percy Jackson is left behind in Tartarus, a quest is able to enter the Pit and bring him home to Camp Half-Blood. Annabeth knew it was going to be difficult after getting him out, but she wasn't expecting it to kick off the first war since Gaea was put back to sleep 300 years before when a flesh and blood ancient deity stirs and rises from the Pit after them. Percy Jackson: Gods' Bane (DARK PERCY)
Percy Jackson is not a good person. At least, not anymore. Percy has been through a lot. Annabeth is dead and his few remaining friends are scattered across America. Percy's been loyal and heroic his whole life, he's always done what the gods asked. And they have only ever repaid him with pain and indifference. So now it's his turn. His longing for justice is growing and the more bitter he becomes, the more it sinks in that without Annabeth, he has nothing left to fight for. But then again, there's nothing holding him back.
