20 years ago, there was a baby born who was Lauren and Brad's biological daughter. When the baby was born, her grandmother Kathy gave her away to an adopting family, and later told Lauren, that there had been complications with the birth and the baby had died. 20 years after Lauren had been told that her daughter had died, she finds out that her mother, Kathy, had lied, and that in fact, her daughter is is alive and well. Problem is, 20 years after the birth of her baby, Lauren is married and has 3 more kids. She has always kept the secret about her having another baby quiet...that is, until the subject comes up again. Brad, who is Lauren's ex, and also the baby's father is living across the road from them, and he also has 2 kids of his own, with his wife Terese.
