"I'm not telling you it is going to be easy- I am telling you it is going to be worth it." - Art Williams His love was the only real thing in her life, and she became drunk on its essence. His touch could light up the day, and that smiles made her weak at the knees. Her world and his collided like meteors, and promises for the future were made. She thought it would last the test of time, but like Romeo and Juliet, it came crashing down with betrayal. The year spent in hell was cold and lonely. Whoever said it would be fire and brimstone, had never set foot in the black depths that she now traveled, trying to find the way out, or back to where she had been. More than once she tripped and fell, but it was a torment far greater than a book could ever describe. That was, until she saw him again, and light returned to the darkness. From that fateful meeting in the underworld, they clawed their way to freedom. Back in the living realm, nothing was as it used to be; where a small town was stood, now a great metropolis; thriving, beautiful, bright, yet forever with pieces hidden in the shadows. Murder was rife, and there were broken souls staggering for purpose. It was then, in the rain and night, they made a pact to seek justice on behalf of themselves, and avenge those that could no longer.

[Previously named Rosegold] Rose Veretta is the heartbeat of the nation. Her smiles on magazine covers are worth a million dollars and to just get one of her clicks was to die for. People loved her and she loved her audience. At least that's what everyone thought. On the other side of the newspaper was a shadow. A serial killer on the loose who had been the nightmare of the PD for the last three months, with 5 murders to their record. Only two things about Robin were known, they considered murder as a form of art, and they loved popularity. What else would explain their obsession with leaving their name and one of their expensive ornaments on the crime scene? Naturally, these two belonged to different worlds. They didn't need to ever cross paths or even considered connected. But surprisingly, all the people Robin killed are one way or another, connected to Rose. Now that's a little too convenient, isn't it? # ONC Prompt 28: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. # ONC 2024 Longlister and Shortlister ONC 2024 Ambassadors Pick Featured in Ambassadors Newsletter June 2024
