With Voldemort dead he could finally enjoy a normal school year with his friends, not worried about somebody trying to kill him but the fact that it was Harry Potter we are talking about and trouble usually found him..... Draco Malfoy, on the other hand was going to go back to Hogwarts to escape, from his empty life at the manor even though Hogwarts held bad memories any place was better than the manor.
