In a world divided into different social classes, a nameless girl starts her journey rather tiring than most kids. Abandoned by her parents, she became a servant at a very young age to a wealthy noble family- the Brotillon, a viscount family of powerful water mages. Though the girl was born with shiny brown hair and sparkling brown eyes, it was for that reason that they were disgusted to have taken her in, even as a lowly maid.
She was put to the test, however, as she witnessed the only woman who cared for her near death in the hands of the Viscount. In a final desperate act, she screamed with all her might, putting all her energy into stopping the viscount only to collapse in exhaustion afterwards.
Upon opening her eyes again, things started to get weird.
Bewildered by the family's sudden change of heart, she embarks on a treacherous journey to unravel the truth behind her collapse, the family's well-guarded secrets, and the mysterious fascination they now have with her...eyes?
In a gripping tale of self-discovery and redemption, witness as she dives deeper into her quest for answers, discovers ancient magic, unearths her own extraordinary abilities, and becomes entangled in a destiny that holds the power to reshape their fractured world.

Lilianne Marineau, aka Lili, a struggling writer like you and me, wakes up to find herself in the body of Arielle Dumont, the female protagonist in her own, half-written novel. What would happen next? She sure as hell doesn't know.
At first, all Lili wants to do is survive, and is overcome with the feeling that she had been bound by chains of her own making. Soon enough, though, she realizes she had been atoning for the wrong thing--and maybe, just maybe it was not her fault.
A story of a writer who has to live as a character in a world she hasn't quite fully developed yet. A terrible writer with terrible concepts of magic in a fantasy world--and yes, there are glitches.
TW: anxiety/depression/existential crisis esp in the earlier chapters, but quite mild, nothing we all haven't experienced before (I think anyone would reasonably panic in MC's situation). Still overall fairly lighthearted
