Perfectionism can be a motivating factor for a high school student. It can push them to study hard and put their full effort in. 

But at what point does perfectionism cross over into toxicity? At what point does anxiety sink its claws deep enough to do damage? At what point should one pull away from perfection?

This short story explores the story of a high school perfectionist as she experiences failure and battles with her mind.

~Completed~ A 16 year old girl goes into sophomore year as a new student. Hoping that it's one to remember, she realizes that it will be. Not in the way that she had hoped. Lindsay goes through a lot of difficult situations from her mom's boyfriend, to her friend's dad, to her mom moving, to her moving with dad, to moving schools, to transferring back and losing one of her best friends. Lindsay begins to lose hope, and she begins to get really depressed to the point she feels like suicide is all that's left. She turns to drugs, alcohol, and self-harm. Feeling as if no one cares, she begins to plan her suicide. She does fine in school in hopes that it will keep the attention away from her actions. Coming to the end of sophomore year, she begins to see what's good about life as she promises Dr. Barns, and Mrs. Gibson gives her reason and inspiration. ---------------------- ❗️Not all events in this story are true. I made up some stuff to go along. :)❗️
